Final Cut is one of ...
Final Cut is one of the industry standards and should work great with 7d footage. However, Apple has revamped the program recently and a lot of people are not to thrilled with the new version. The plus side is that it's a lot cheaper than before. I myself am a? Premiere Pro user and I love it! It works great with 7d footage and if you buy the production package, you can edit sound directly in Adobe Audition...another great program! Good luck!

Great video! I have a quick question about the sample rate. You mention in the video that the recorder must be a 96kHz sample rate. However, my camera records at 48kHz sample rate. Won't using a 96kHz with my camera cause the video and audio to become out of sync after a? little while. Any help is appreciated!

Many? people are asking why not use the inbuilt mic of the 5D. While in what you show, this might be possible, I would have to use the recorder-to-camera setup in a situation where I'm using wireless lavaliers and they are far from camera- i.e subject is far from camera mic.

Impressive knowledge for a kid. I'm sure lots of people would hire her as an a/v consultant. :) Question: Can you still get acceptable sound quality? without using any accessories? Using the built-in mic. Or just getting a RODE mic putting it on the hotshoe? Seems a bit involved to get good sound. More than I think the average guy with a 5D2 or soon a 5D3 that might want to make the occasional HD video clip.
